JWs can't spell
by Nosferatu ini was reading some comments on randy's site, and lately i've been noticing a trend - a majority of jws can't spell.
i've seen them come on here and their spelling is very poor.
here's an example: what a nut case!

Would you consider this murder or?
by kls inlogans thread on murder had me thinking of a tale shall we say and i would like to know if you feel this is murder or?
,,,,,,,,,two people live together ( a man and a women ) and they are both severe drunks.
they are living in an upstairs apartment and have been drinking non stop for weeks.

It was totally and accident. Nobody saw her push him down the stairs. She even heard him slam the door when he left. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. That doesn't explain why she had to step over the body for weeks as she went out for a beer run though.
It would not be murder because there was no intent. It could be manslaughter because her actions caused his death. Then again she was insane to have a stinking body in her house for weeks. I'm so confused.

What is Innocence & How Do You Define It?
by dh ini've heard the word 'innocent' used quite a lot in things on the board, and i wondered what everyones view was on it was.
we speak of innocence in so many different ways, children are innocent, victims of crime are 'innocent', civillian casulaties in a war are innocent victims.. we speak of child abuse as stealing innocence, does anyone care to expand on that definition of the word?.
at what point does a regular person cease to be innocent?.

Palm reading and what not
by Tim Horton infirst a bit of background about this poster... married, 2kids, 12 year old and 15 month old, wife and i inactive for about 4 years and spotty at meetings at best for various reasons.i've had doubts ever since 95 and the generation thing, and my wife, well she's always had some resentment from the truf being drilled into her when she was growing up.
however i put off deciding what to do about the future of my own spirituality (and my family's) till recently when i got tired of feeling guilty about not following an outline for the only way to be a good person.
also my wifey wanted to know what the hell we were doing so she wouldn't feel like a fence sitter.

Welcome to the board Tim Horton & family!
I've gone to a few of those things purly for entertainment purposes. Like someone gambling. I know I am throwing my money away on them but it is fun to watch them try and pick something up from me when I won't give them anything to work with. My old neighbour used to read tarot cards for me regularly (for free) but she turned very christian and threw them away. Now I have no idea where I'm going in my life. j/k
You never know about that 3rd kid.....you could adopt or foster or inherit someone elses. I'm sure my granny at 55 said after 8 kids she would not have more, then she got me.

If you are having computer problems
by Mulan inthis week i started having all kinds of computer problems just out of the blue.
i uninstalled the "really cool bionicle (or something like that) wallpaper" my 7 year old grandson installed a few months ago, and that cured the noise the computer was making............kind of a hissing sound.
i also ran the spy detector and found a few things to delete, but it didn't help.

I was having the same problem the last week and a half. I finally got tired of it all and restored. You are right, it is wonderful. I found that I will explore things alittle more because of it. If I mess anything up I can just make it go back.

Update on Walmart
by Sadie5 ini work wed-sunday, 4pm-9pm, so i went in yesterday and as expected the manager and assistant manager cornered me.
they were not happy that i had called the district manager and told him about using sales clerks to unload trucks.
and they said they weren't going to have me unload a truck.. then the manager asked if i could start working until 11pm and when i said no because i have to get home and take care of my mother, he said i will most likely be off the schedule to work at all the assistant manager kept saying i might be used in another department where i could keep my hours, but the manager kept saying don't be surprised if my name isn't on the schedule.. will have to see how this turns out.. i feel at peace right now if this is the way walmart is going to be.

That smells like retaliation to me. Are they short handed to begin with? then they cut your hours? Document everything that goes on. Didn't the higher ups say to let them know if there was any trouble for you? They are going to use the fact that you refused work to try and get you but being so close to the complaint it may backfire on them. Did you state from the start that you couldn't work any later?
(I was wondering what to do with my special numbered post but I chose to use it for you, somebody had to get it.....Sorry)

I just talked to my aunt in Ft. Myers to see how they are holding up. She isn't as concerned since it will hit the other side of Florida and be much weaker going across land. She is very worried about the piles of debrie still there from Charlie. They will be very unstable in high winds and become projectiles. She also is not looking forward to being without electric again so soon. It was off for 5 days the last time, she said she was never so excited to have a hot shower and a hot cup of coffee in her life. I pray for everyone in Florida and the East Coast. Stay safe.
